Philip’s Academy defeated Union Avenue Middle School to win the 2026 CSAL Middle School Boys Basketball Championship at New Jersey City University in Jersey City. 

2018 Flag-Football Champion

Rise Academy, a KIPP school in Newark, defeated University Heights Charter School 14-0 to win the 2018 Charter School Athletic League (CSAL) Middle School Flag-Football Championship at Essex County Monte Irvin Orange Park.
