Top-seeded North Star Academy defeated second-seeded KIPP TEAM Academy to win the 2023 CSAL Middle School Boys Basketball Championship. North Star Academy became the first school in CSAL history to win the Boys and Girls Basketball Championships in the same season.

Top-seeded North Star Academy completed its undefeated season with a victory over tenth-seeded New Horizons Community Charter School to win the 2023 CSAL Middle School Girls Basketball Championship. This marks Back-to-Back CSAL Championships for the Lady Knights.
